Join a circular cycle tour of some of the Heritage Open Day Events. Visit three fantastic venues in one ride!
The tour starts at Milton Keynes Museum (Connected Earth, Victorian High Street, Transport). From there we will cycle through Wolverton (Secret Garden, Art Works, Rail and Canal Heritage) on to Bradville to spend some time exploring the inner workings of Bradwell Windmill.
Next we travel along the beautiful Loughton Valley Linear Park to Bradwell Abbey for the Milton Keynes Discovery Centre HODS Medieval Fayre (Archery, Birds of Prey, Knights, Squires, Monks, Markets). Finally we will make our way back to MK Museum via Bancroft Roman Villa.
You will be guided by friendly experienced ride leaders. The tour of Bradwell Windmill will take approx. 30 minutes and the Medieval Fayre approx. 60 minutes. We recommend that you enjoy the MK Museum events before the ride as the museum closes at 4.30pm.
Book your place
Numbers are limited on every ride. You must book your place using the Lets Ride website. All of the council’s cycle rides are listed under the name ‘Get Cycling MK’ so it’s easy to see who you will be riding with.
Please note – the weekend of the 15th and 16 Sep, MK Museum host the Transport Weekend of Marvellous Motors. There is a charge for entry but the tickets will allow you free admission for 12 months. We suggest that if you want to look around the Museum do so before the bike tour as the museum closes at 4.30pm.
MK Museum HODs run from 19 – 22nd Sept -find more information about all events here: http://www.mkheritage.org.uk/hodmk/
