National Bike Week

Get on your bike and join the rest of the country in a celebration of cycling for National Bike Week.

Riding a bike can easily be a part of everyday life and Bike Week is here to inspire people all over the UK to give cycling a try.

Bike Week, delivered by Cycling UK,  encourages ‘everyday cycling for everyone’.

Celebrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK, whether this be for fun, as a means of getting around to work or school, the local shops or just to visit friends.

During the month of June #7daysofcycling is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy a cycling activity seven times to celebrate Bike Week. There are no rules on what counts as one of your seven – from riding to work, cycling to the shops, to giving your bike a spring clean to a pootle around a park with your mates – all you need to do is share a photo, video or story about your experience on Instagram or Twitter, using #7DaysofCycling.

Find local events or register one of your own on a their website which also contains resources and toolkits, posters, digital assets and guides to putting on events. (Any cycling events between April and September can be listed.)

In Milton Keynes we have teamed up with Love to Ride and celebrate cycling throughout the whole month of June.

Come along to one of guided rides every Sunday, or join a leisurely ride around one of our 5 cultural trails where we explore a different route every Saturday in June, or get your bike registered and security marked for free at one of our bike register events. Visit our events pages to get involved and log your rides at for the chance to go in to a draw to win amazing prizes !
