Charging your electric car in Milton Keynes

How to charge
- All charge points are managed by the Council’s partner, Chargemaster. You can join the national POLAR scheme which will allow you to use the charge points in Milton Keynes. - Parking is free in Milton Keynes if you’re plugged in and charging.
- Milton Keynes also offer a free parking scheme for electric car drivers for when they don’t need to charge. This keeps the charging bays free for those who need them. Find out more about our free parking scheme.
- Milton Keynes also has over 65 rapid charge points which are suitable for drivers who need a quick charge to get them on their way. Parking is free for up to 90 minutes.
A new rapid filling station for Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes is now home to a new rapid electric car filling station at Coachway. The site incorporates eight 50kW rapid chargers suitable for all standards of EV charging.
Located within a minute’s drive of the M1, just off junction 14 at Milton Keynes Coachway, the station is built with three overhead canopies and its location provides access to the Coachway cafe.
Charging is 15p per KWh. An overstay fee of £10 per hour applies after 90 minutes.
A second rapid filling station will be opening in Bletchley Park in 2020.
