Plan your journey

Take your first steps to health and happiness

Walking is one of the easiest forms of physical exercise – it is good for your health and wellbeing and completely natural. Best of all, walking is free, no need for any fancy equipment or clothing. You can just step out of your door and you’re away.

Milton Keynes is a great place to get around on foot with hundred of miles of footways and Redways. There are thousands of acres of parkland, open spaces and lots of places to explore too.

It’s easy to squeeze a brisk 20 minute walk into even the busiest day by making small changes to your daily routine. Use our journey planner to see how close your favourite destinations are and view a route. Or make up your own route using our interactive map and check it on the move on a smart phone.

Throughout the year there are also plenty of opportunities to get walking, with groups and organised walks, festivals and challenges.
