Walking is one of the finest forms of physical exercise – it is good for your health and wellbeing, completely natural, you just need to put one foot in front of the other and away you go. Best of all, it’s free – no need for any fancy equipment or clothing, just step out of your door and you’re away. It’s easy to squeeze a brisk 20 minute walk into even the busiest day.

Milton Keynes is a great place to get around on foot with hundred of miles of footways and Redways, thousands of acres of parkland and open spaces and lots of places to explore. Throughout the year there are plenty of opportunities to get walking, with groups and organised walks, festivals and challenges.
