Car Sharing

Car sharing is a great way to reduce congestion, save money and even make new friends.

Plan your journey

A journey shared is an enjoyable one

Milton Keynes is the perfect location for journey sharing with around 60% of people who live in the borough also working in the borough. With many employers focussed in just a small number of areas, you’re bound to be living near somebody who does the same journey to work every day, you just need to find them!

Cycling and walking buddies

Finding someone to cycle or walk to work with is a great motivator, it’s harder to change your plans if you’ve already arranged a time and place to meet in the morning. Travelling with someone will help you to feel safer and inspire confidence that you won’t get lost and will have help if you experience mechanical issues. Plus, chatting to someone on your way to work is a great way to start the day and much more fun than sitting in traffic all alone.

Car sharing

Sometimes people do need to drive to work, why not offer a lift or join someone heading in the same direction. Car sharing reduces congestion, pollution and the need for car parking spaces, which is better for everyone. It can also help to reduce costs by alternating the driver or sharing costs. Journey sharing is a great way to get around and make friends along the way!

Not got anyone to share with?  All you need to do is sign up to the Milton Keynes Liftshare scheme, add your journey and find your match.  It’s that easy!
